THE STAR, February 25st, 2002 - SIXTY international delegates who attended the Terminal Operations Conference and Exhibition (TOC) Asia 2002 went for a tour of West Port, Port Klang after the three-day event concluded last week.

They got to see for themselves the operations at West Port's container and conventional terminals and were later given a briefing by West Port marketing manager S. Manimala.

The event was opened by Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik and more than 20 papers were presented which included current trends in terminal and liner shipping, port management and operations, terminal financing and new directions in design and technology.

About 60 companies comprising ports, equipment manufacturers and trade publications also exhibited their products.
