| Port Klang, 9th July 2008: The OCPD of Klang ACP Mohamad Mat Yusof has called on all police personnel in the district including Auxiliary Police to maintain a high level of integrity and aim for zero corruption.
Noting that corruption among police personnel is very much controlled in the district, he nevertheless reminded all ranks of the police force to uphold integrity and help eradicate the corruption menace.
“The people’s expectation of the police force is very high. We have to carry out our policing work in a professional and efficient manner,” said ACP Mohamad at the passing out parade of Westports’ Auxiliary Police in Port Klang today.
According to ACP Mohamad, so far there has only been one case of corruption involving police personnel in the district this year, adding that investigations are on going. He said Auxiliary Police must also maintain a high level of integrity at all times and help the police force in its mission especially in the fight against corruption.
On Westports Auxiliary Police, ACP Mohamad said they have displayed high level of professionalism and solved many cases on their own. He noted that the new motto of Integrity in the police force has also injected exuberance among Auxiliary personnel.
At the ceremony, ACP Mohamad presented certificates and awards to 50 Westports Auxiliary Police who completed a 3-month intensive training on policing, fire and rescue operations. Also present was Westports Head of Fire and Rescue Services, Major (Rtd) V. Manisegaran.
