| The flagging
off ceremony that marked the
end of the "Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts
Club" Tour of Malaysia 2001
was held at wharf 8 of the Westport
Terminal.
The Prestigious
array of Rolls-Royce models
were flagged off from Westport
by Mr Peter Cameron, President
of Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club
International, Mr Chai Lih Yunn,
General Manager of Westport
Conventional Terminal and Dato'
Jason Goh, Managing Director
of M Zain Forwarding Agents
Sdn Bhd and.
86 units of magnificently
hand crafted Rolls-Royce and
Bentley Cars were loaded on
to 'MV ASIAN VISION' departing
Malaysian shores and returning
to Southampton in UK. Owners
of the vehicles were at hand
to drive the cars on to the
vessel and see them safely stationed
in the 6400-unit capacity RORO
vessel.
Hyundai Merchant
Marine's 'MV Asian Vision' was
handled by shipping Agent, Sunship
Agencies while the forwarding
agent involved in the entry
and exit of the vehicles on
this tour was M Zain Forwarders
Sdn Bhd.
The terminal's
'Flexiport' capabilities and
functionality was again emphasised
when South East Asia biggest
Vehicle Terminal Centre (VTC)
located in Westport pre clearance
the 86 units with efficient
documentation handling that
cleared the vehicles.
The VTC sprawled
over 10 acres of land, is a
joint venture partnership between
NYK, Mitsui and Kelang Multi
Terminal with a capacity to
handle 100,000 vehicles a year.
